Asia
The world’s largest and most populous continent and hosts 60% of the world’s current human population.

Africa
Straddling the equator, it is the only continent to stretch from the northern temperate to southern temperate zones.
- Covers 20% of the worlds land.
- Population approx 1 billion.
- Largest city, Cairo.
- Has 53 countries.
- Most densely populated region, Melilla.

Antarctica
On average, is the coldest, driest, and windiest continent, and has the highest average elevation of all the continents.
- Over 98% is covered in ice.
- Averages 1.6km in thickness.
- Largest city, Sau Paulo.
- Has between 1,000 and 5,000 residence.
- Is considered a desert.

North America
Bordered by the Arctic Ocean, North Atlantic Ocean, North Pacific Ocean, and the Caribbean Sea.
- Covers 16.5% of the worlds land.
- Population approx 530 million.
- Largest city, Mexico.
- Has 23 countries.
- Most densely populated region, Bermuda.

South America
Home to the world’s highest waterfall, the largest river, the longest mountain range, and the driest place on earth.
- Covers 3.5% of the worlds land.
- Population approx 390 million.

- Has 12 countries.
- Most densely populated region, Ecuador.

Europe
Russia is the largest by both area and population, while the Vatican City is the smallest.
- Covers 6.8% of the worlds land.

Oceania
This is a region centered on the islands of the tropical Pacific Ocean. Conceptions of what constitutes Oceania range from the coral atolls and volcanic islands of the South Pacific, ethnologically divided into the subregions of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia, to the entire insular region between Asia and the Americas, including Australasia and the Malay Archipelago.
